An outdoor classroom for Public School 298 in Brooklyn. This immersive mural titled The Learning Curve is a collaboration with the Department of Education and the Department of Mental Health and Hygiene in an effort to encourage students to get outside as part of their everyday curriculum.

Typically, exposed wood is used as an alternative to painted surfaces. This mural challenges the norm and offers a shift in perspective—it chooses not to pick one over the other, but to combine the two to create a unified piece of art. This non-judgmental and unique coming together of different media serves as a visual metaphor for the inclusivity 30 Pearl residents will experience in their new, diverse community.

This 4-story mural in Boulder, Colorado wraps the northwest corner of 30 Pearl, Boulder Housing Partners’ latest housing project. BHP has been the housing authority for the City of Boulder for over 50 years. BHP builds, owns, and manages quality affordable housing for low and moderate-income Boulder residents, and helps those residents pursue successful, productive, and dignified lives.

Exterior mural that wraps around MPK 21’s Lobby 9 building at Facebook Headquarters in Menlo Park, California. This immersive piece was installed as part of Facebook’s Artist In Residence program and encompasses three walls with continuous design applied to the sidewalks surrounding the building.

Uptown Grand Central is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming East 125th Street into a thriving corridor by delivering programs that put advocacy into action through collaborations with businesses residents and neighborhood organizations across East Harlem.

This mural pays homage to the merging of several cultures within Harlem. As a neighborhood known for its deep African-American heritage, Kat drew inspiration for both design, pattern work and color palette from traditional textiles from various African countries.

Through the use of layering, pattern, geometry, and the visual suggestion of movement, the collection of murals (32 total surfaces) throughout Mullaly Bikepark strive to aesthetically represent the technical precision and skill necessary to accomplish tricks on and off the ramp. 

Mullaly Bikepark is a BMX park located next to Yankees Stadium in the Bronx.  

Art in the Parks: Active Open Space is a partnership between NYC Parks and the New York City Department of Health & Mental Hygiene, in collaboration with the Fund for Public Health in New York and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, to activate park space with health-inspired art installations that promote physical activity and strengthen community connections. Funding for this project was made possible by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 

Part of the Assembly for Chinatown project, a collaboration between Think!Chinatown and A+A+A Studio to help recover immigrant-owned businesses in NYC Chinatown from the effects COVID-19 pandemic. This outdoor seating area was built to accommodate NYC’s law requiring all restaurants to have outdoor-only dining.

The design is inspired by summertime and boba tea.

Drew Barriermore stretches across approximately 800 linear feet along jersey barriers that protect cyclists from vehicular traffic. The design features bold colors, shapes and angles intended to represent the movement of passersby.

This is the sixteen iteration of the DOT Art Barrier Beautification program, a partnership with The New York City Department of Transportation’s Art Program, New York Cares and JP Morgan Chase & Co. The program transforms concrete barriers from standard traffic safety elements into canvases for art, twice a year in fall and spring. 

The art was installed on June 7, 2018 with the assistance of over twenty volunteers from New York Cares and JPMorgan Chase & Co in Brooklyn, NY on Williamsburg Street West between Kent Avenue and Flushing Avenue.

Exterior and interior incorporating both paint and stain on wood elements throughout the Lovers Not Haters space in Miami, Florida.

In addition to the interior, the exterior wood stained mural serves as an inviting entrance to Mega Bodega, a cafe located in downtown Los Angeles featuring artisanal coffee and craft beers. 

External mural for Proyecto Museo/Barrio, a collective of local and international muralists curated by Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Bogotá.

A collaboration with DAST for Bogotá Graffiti & Friends, a project hosted by Bogotá Graffiti that focuses on bringing international and Colombian artists together. The mural is located in Bogotá's El Batán neighborhood at the southwest corner of Calle 127 and Autopista Norte.

This piece is an abstract representation of the Sierra Nevada. Since the indigenous tribes here focus on 9 stages of life to grow and become the best version of you, the main triangle has 9 sections, which ends with the sun at the top as the final stage. The base is yellow, like the 9th stage, to represent the cycle of life since there is always a beginning and an end.  The mural sits under the bridge, just along the walkway to the beach.

Exterior mural on Meserole Street (between Bogart and Waterbury) in Bushwick, a neighborhood famous for street art in Brooklyn, New York. 

Centre-fuge transforms construction-sites, transitional spaces and structures in under appreciated neighborhoods into outdoor gallery spaces in New York City and Miami. This mural is part of Cycle 22, the 2017 Spring edition of the Centre-fuge NYC trailer and is located on E 1st Street between 1st and 2nd Avenue.

Casa de HIp Hop Kolacho, an organization focused on keeping kids out of trouble through the teachings of hip hop, breakdancing and graffiti, asked me to paint a memorial for the victims of Operación Orión.

This mural sits at the front entrance of Cementario de San Javier in Comuna 13. Just 15 years ago, the neighborhood was considered one of the most dangerous in the area. The amount of change that has happened over the past decade is dumbfounding, but proves that positive change is a very reachable goal. 

The blacks, whites and greys represent the dark history of the neighborhood. The upward pointing colored sections symbolize the escalators installed recently in the neighborhood that have made everything more accessible, allowing a brighter future to develop throughout Comuna 13. I come from a Chinese background, so have incorporated some of my culture into this memorial as well. Because the number 4 also means death in Chinese, there are 4 colored sections to represent putting to rest the past and to move on and look forward.

It was a true honor to paint for Casa Kolacho and I hope this addition to the neighborhood brings a little more brightness to what's ahead.

A collaboration with Guache at the Center for Cultural Development of Moravia, a neighborhood in Medellín. This portrait of Olive Elaine Morris (a British community leader and activist in the feminist, black nationalist, and squatters' rights campaigns of the 1970s in the UK) is a part of a larger program hosted by Urban Lab, an international project that works with students, local authorities, architects and urbanists to improve communities in various parts of the world.
